About Joshua Joseph

Joshua Joseph is a composer whose unique background gives his music an ethereal, contemplative quality, inviting listeners into a personal “sacred space” of prayer, rest, and encounter with God.
Autism, Silence, and the Triumph of the Spirit
Joshua is autistic (higher functioning). Through a childhood marked by periods of silence and difficulty communicating, his life bears witness to the quiet triumph of the Holy Spirit a reality reflected in music that seeks to stir the soul and draw the listener inward.
Musical Style
He writes music in a variety of styles, all united by a common thread: music as meditation on God. His work includes instrumental, contemporary Christian song, and sacred chant. His most recent release, Chants for a Sacred Season, returns to sacred chant, offering simple and reverent settings for prayer and the liturgical season of Advent and Christmas in particular.
Albums
Chants for a Sacred Season is a prayerful collection of sacred chant written for the liturgical seasons. This Realease was for the Season of Advent and Christmas. Rooted in simplicity and reverence, the music creates space for silence, reflection, and attentive listening before God.

Glory is an uplifting instrumental collection of nine tracks, each composed by Joshua and born from meditative prayer. It invites the listener into a deep, calming connection with God.

Icon Of My Heart is a contemporary Christian vocal album with powerful, thought-provoking lyrics rooted in themes of repentance, forgiveness, mercy, hope, and love.
Joshua is currently working in the studio preparing Glory and Icon of My Heart for remastered releases planned for 2026.
Personal Life & Formation
Joshua holds a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Arts in Theology from Mount Angel Seminary. He lives in South Texas, where he founded Little Hermitage Music, a music production and publishing company. He is happily married to his wife Teresa and works from his home music studio. In addition to music, Joshua creates wood art and writes poetry.
